Community Circular Champion: Aisling Kett

Cork Zero Waste’s Aisling Kett is our new Community Circular Champion! Aisling took a prize of €2,000 at the Full Circle Awards this week, shortlisted with five other finalists and landing the trophy at the launch of Circular.ie

Aisling impressed the judging panel for the breadth and depth of her community impact.

“Through Cork Zero Waste, Aisling has created a platform that reaches a large audience, with a strong focus on reducing waste and supporting people to live more sustainably,” said the judges. “She actively supports plant swaps, clothes swaps, and local initiatives, and helps connect community volunteers and resources to further broaden impact.”

The Community Circular Champion award is for people who lead or support community initiatives like sharing libraries, swap events, food waste solutions, or local repair cafés.

The Full Circle Awards is a new initiative designed by Circular.ie to honour and celebrate the incredible efforts of everyday people who are driving positive change through circular living.

We invited people across the country for nominations to our Full Circle Awards — ordinary individuals making an extraordinary impact by promoting reuse, repair, recycling, and sustainable living in their communities.

With €2,000 available for winners of our six categories, along with personalised expert mentoring to help amplify their circular initiatives, the Full Circle Awards highlight the creativity, commitment, and drive among circular champions across Ireland.
