Looking for a practical, fun and rewarding day out? Join us in Fettercairn Community and Youth Centre Tallaght on 19th August 2026 from 10am - 4pm for a FREE drop-in community event packed with opportunities to repair, swap, share and connect.
Whether you have a broken household item, clothes you no longer wear, or plants ready for a new home, this is your chance to save money, reduce waste and learn new skills from local experts with a free Clothing Swap, Plant Exchange and a large Repair CafΓ©. Book now as Registration is required.
π οΈ Repair CafΓ© - Why replace it when you can repair it?
Bring along your broken or worn household items and work alongside experienced repairers from the Rediscovery Centre and TOG Hackerspace. Learn practical skills, extend the life of your belongings and keep useful items out of landfill.
Places on the day are on a first-come, first-served basis and please bring a maximum of two items per person. Read on for further details of what can be repaired or swapped:

Community Plant Swap
Calling all plant lovers, gardeners and budding green thumbs!
Trade, share and discover a variety of plants while meeting fellow members of your community. Drop off plants before 9:45am and you will receive your token for the swap and start swapping from 10am. Bring along a maximum of 3 labelled plants for the plant swap and receive tokens.
