Give pre-loved clothes and textiles a new purpose with CycleUp Textiles’ FREE six-week sewing and upcycling course, funded by the Galway-Roscommon Education and Training Board.
Through a structured programme of guided projects, you’ll learn how to adjust the length and leg width of jeans, turn discarded denim into a tote bag, work with stretchy fabrics to make a hairband from an unwanted T-shirt, and transform a bed sheet into pyjama pants.
It’s a practical opportunity to build on your existing sewing skills and explore creative ways to reuse textiles.
Previous sewing experience is essential, and participants must be confident using a sewing machine. This course is not suitable for beginners.
Sessions follow planned projects rather than individual clothing redesign or alteration requests.
