Gather Round - Intergenerational Textile Printing Workshop

Gather Round is a community textile project creating a giant patchwork tablecloth that gives new life to old fabrics.

Artists Sarah Buckley and Katie Nolan are exploring notions of welcome through the creation of a giant patchwork tablecloth that gives new life to old fabrics, using sustainable materials and natural dyes. Gather Round brings together textile traditions, skill building and dialogue between participants through hands on workshops. The project asks, who gets a seat at the table.

Tickets for this intergenerational textile printing workshop are booked in pairs - one adult and one young person. The first half of the workshop will focus on creating your design on the theme of “welcome,” and preparing it for printing. We’ll break for lunch together around the tablecloth-so-far, which is approximately 1/3 complete at 2m x 4m.

Pack a picnic and we will eat outside, weather permitting. After lunch we will print on fabric that will become part of the table covering. €20 per pair.
